Meyer Arms builds custom rifles to each client’s preferences for competition, hunting, and duty use. A production rifle is configured for a general buyer. We configure the rifle for the person who will shoot it: the intended use, the required performance, and the fit.
The client directs the choices that matter. A build may include the barrel and gas system, trigger, stock and grip, optic mounting, and finish. We assemble the rifle and test it for accuracy and reliability before it leaves the shop.
Our charges are reasonable and based on the actual time required to build and customize that rifle, together with the parts selected. We describe the scope of work before we begin, so the client is not billed for a package the rifle does not require.
Three services, one shop. Commission a new rifle, bring in a rifle you already own, or combine both and leave with a consistent finish.
The rifle is built to the way you shoot, rather than to a configuration chosen for a shelf. Labor is priced from the actual time required to build and customize. Parts are quoted separately. A limited scope of work costs less than a complete build because it requires less time.
Each rifle is built around the client’s preferences. We begin with the intended use, the budget, and the fit, then select the parts, assemble them into one rifle, and test that rifle for accuracy and reliability.
Typical builds are prepared for tactical use, competition, or hunting. Tell us the distances, the optic you intend to use, and anything that has been uncomfortable or unreliable on rifles you have used before. The parts and the shop time are then devoted to that requirement.
The cost follows the time required to assemble and customize that rifle, and the parts on the specification. A finish or a more involved setup adds time, and the quotation shows it. Omitting those items reduces the cost.
We also work on a rifle you already own, when the rifle is close to the required configuration and only part of it needs to change. Services include barrel threading, trigger work, gas-system tuning, and corrections that restore reliable function.
Bring the rifle and a short description of the change you want. We confirm the scope, complete the work in the shop, and test for accuracy and reliability before the rifle is returned. The charge covers the time that work requires, not the cost of a new rifle.
We finish rifles with quality materials selected for durability and a consistent appearance. Surfaces are prepared, then finished so the rifle presents as one piece and stands up to regular handling.
A finish may be part of a new build or applied to a rifle you already own. The time depends on the number of parts finished and the material specified, and the cost follows that time.

The same shop handles modifications to an existing rifle and the finish, using quality materials, so a new build and its finish remain in one place. You work with one shop from the first inquiry through delivery. Our pricing remains reasonable because it reflects the time required to build and customize your rifle, not a fixed markup on a package you did not request.
Please send a short note describing how you will use the rifle, your preferences for the build, whether this is a new rifle or work on a rifle you already own, and when you need it. Include a budget range if you have one.
We reply with the proposed scope of work and a cost based on the actual time required to build and customize it, plus the parts. If the quotation exceeds the budget, items can be removed so both the time and the cost are reduced.
